Quail are easy to keep and raise making them the perfect backyard animal. This post discusses why I think so.
I was hoping adding a fan to my incubator plus using locally sourced eggs would increase my hatch rate. So far so good!
So I have been waiting patiently for the birds to lay eggs. It had been 6+ weeks and the birds were that old when I got them. Anyway, my new favorite bird 🙂 started last Thursday and has laid everyday since.
So we have had a few eggs in the incubator and right on time, day 17, they started to hatch. Percentage wise we didnt do very well, but the fact that ANY hatched considering we have no idea what we are doing is great.
